Essential Question:  How did the strategies, tactics and leadership of both sides impact the outcome of the Civil War?

Realizing that we are all Americans, both sides employed strategies that were supposed to make this a 90 day war.  What happened? Throughout this unit, we will look at how old school strategies and fierce pride clashed with vastly improved weapons technology.  In a battle of brother against brother, no one truly wins and the Civil War remains the most costly loss of American lives out of any war we have ever been engaged in.
